Collection of ENEA technology and expertise
Technical-scientific activity, using diagnostic imaging techniques and 3D reconstruction techniques, aimed at cognitive diagnostic analysis of cultural heritage
Application sectors
Problem to solve
The service is aimed at in-depth knowledge of Cultural Heritage, with particular attention to the possible presence of details not visible to the naked eye, such as traces of inscriptions or materials used in restoration actions. Art historians, owners of the assets and restorers are the potential clients.
Description
The analysis service is developed in a campaign of measurements, the duration of which depends on the complexity of the object of the analysis, and is based on the use of the following investigation techniques through the application of the relevant instruments listed, non-invasive and applicable in site: Diagnostic imaging techniques and precise spectroscopic measurements: - LIF (Laser Induced Fluorescence) Instrumentation: - Point scanning LIF system - Filtered band and point scan LIF system (IRIS) - Raman (molecular spectroscopy) Instrumentation: - Stand-off prototype system - BW Tech system - Thermography Instrumentation: - Thermal imaging camera Techniques for 3D reconstruction: - High detail 3D digitization Instrumentation: - Photogrammetry system - DRONE IR reflectography: - Remote IR Reflectography techniques Instrumentation: - Hyperspectral Camera
