Collection of ENEA technology and expertise
Sidonia by ENEA - European trademark for the valorisation and protection of ENEA's patent in the field of outdoor furniture

Application sectors
Problem to solve
The technology developed by ENEA makes it possible to separate waste and beached vegetal biomass, avoiding its removal from the beach. This makes it possible, with a limited manpower, to valorise the resource and create development opportunities through the creation of beach furniture during the summer season. Consequent social, environmental economic benefits are obtained. At the moment, the problem to be tackled is a capillary dissemination of this good practice throughout the country is missing. Implementation of a technology that facilitates the activities of collection, drying of plant biomass on site before the summer season and its separation from waste (mainly plastic) is needed as well as a massive diffusion plan to support both private and public entities to adopt the technology.
Description

A covering for coastal rock outcrop obtained by means of one or more multipurpose structures. A coastal walking surface made by means of one or more multipurpose structures. “Sunbathing” seaside surfaces made by means of one or more multipurpose structures. A covering for anthropic structures and coastal buildings by means of one or more multipurpose structures.
