Problem to solve
Conservation and maintenance of Cultural Heritage and existing buildings and infrastructures
Description
The proposed technology is based on dynamic monitoring to characterize structures belonging to cultural and architectural heritage and infrastructures, adopting codes for data analysis adaptable to the specific structure under examination and related to the possibility of developing finite element digital twins. The objective is the evaluation of the presence of structural damage and the observation in time of the relevant parameters for prevention from the perspective of conservation
Innovative aspects and advantages
- Data analysis is not based on commercial software and is adaptable to specific cases
Technological Maturity 9
Strengths
- Cost
- Social/economic relevance
- Legal/regulatory content
Admissible applications
- Development of twin structural models of the real structure (Digital Twins)
- Evaluation of traffic-induced vibration, or vibration induced by other dynamical actions, on monuments with the purpose of conservation
- Structural health monitoring of cultural heritage and existing buildings and infrastructures, with the purpose of anomaly detection in the dynamic behavior associated to damage
